The almalfi coast is amazing and unbelievably romantic. Positano is the perfect plac to stay with winding roads, cute shops and a nice beach. The food is to die for and you can travel to the other towns by boat or ferry quite easily.
Shopping in Barcelona
Stay in style at the Ritz overlooking the city and the water. Food, dancing and shopping were on the agenda for 3 days straight. I think we hit every store in the city twice...but got some great finds! We injected a little culture by visiting the Gaudi museum and the Sagrada Famiglia.
Mexico

The Melia Playa Conchal on the West Coast is paradise. Private bungalows, an enormous pool, 7 restaurants, a casino, a dance club, golf, tennis, and more. It never stops! Drive south about 20 minutes and there's a wonderful beach for surfing and local fun.
Caipirhinas, Beaches and Shopping in Brazil
The Marina Hotel in Rio is a fine abode right on the beach. Walk the beaches, see a show, catch some live music and definitely eat at Porcon. And make sure you're good and hungry.....and you like meat. Head north to the beaches of Salvador. It's tropical and gorgeous....but if you head into the city....watch your back and everything else you own. The Kapoeria is worth the trip.
Blue Footed Boobies in Galapagos Islands
If you love animals, you HAVE to go. It's a natural zoo where the animals aren't afraid of anything or anyone. You can walk right up to iguanas, birds, sea lions and more and they hardly even flinch. It's a picture lover's haven!
Cafes in Quito
When you get back from the Galapagos, the change in elevation will get you. But Quito is a nice travelers town with great coffee shops and hostels. You can get great bargains on the streets as well.

Note to self. The first time you ever try scuba diving should not be in Honduras and should not be with only a 5 minute breathing course. Scared the crap out of me. There are lots of dirt roads and lots of chickens in Honduras.
The Amazing Glaciers of Alaska
Who knew Alaska was so beautiful. You can camp just about anywhere in Alaska. Just pull your SUV over, plant your tent and there you have it. The glaciers, the bears, the pipeline and the salmon swimming up stream were all a treat!
